Bio-Ethanol Fired French Fireplaces
We want to do our bit for the environment and offer an alternative way to
use these beautiful stoves without burning fossil fuels.
Bio-ethanol is a liquid that is made from plants such as corn and sugar cane.
Enzymes are added to convert the sugar content into alcohol. It is then
distilled and dehydrated and ultimately becomes 97% pure bio-ethanol.
No building regulations, flues or other pipes are required and the stove can be placed in
any room, as long as it is large enough and ventilated.
The most frequently asked question is: "do they give off heat?" The answer is an unequivocal 'YES'.
At The Bleu Stove you can choose between a traditionally fired French stove, or a more natural-friendly bio-ethanol fired fireplace. Send us a message for the possibilities.
The advantages are listed again:
1. Easy to use: Bio-ethanol fireplaces are generally easy to
operate. You don't need logs, coal or other solid fuels.
Lighting and regulating the flames is quick and easy.
2. No smoke or ash: Unlike a classic stove that produces smoke and ash,
a bioethanol fireplace burns cleanly and without smoke. You don't have to
worry about cleaning up ash or cleaning the chimney.
3. Flexible installation: Bioethanol fireplaces are often freestanding or have minimal
installation requirements. This means that you can place them in different rooms or
even move them if necessary. This is in contrast to a classic stove that is
often permanently installed.
4. Sustainability: Bioethanol is produced from renewable sources, such as
corn or sugar cane. Burning bioethanol produces less carbon dioxide
compared to wood- or coal-fired stoves.
